Jeffrey Doucet had been very close to the family for the past many years but he started molesting Gary’s son Jody during that time. Doucet kidnapped Jody and took him to California from Baton Rouge, and abused him. Louisiana police tracked Jody and arrested Jeffery Doucet. To avenge Doucet, Gary Plauche hatched a plan with anger. When Doucet was taken back to Baton Rouge, Gary Plauche was waiting for him at the airport with a gun in his hand. Gary Plauche fired a shot into Doucet’s head while Doucet was by-passing. Police immediately arrested Gary Plauche and identified him as the father of the child being abused. Initially, Gary Plauche was charged with Second Degree Murder but eventually, the charge was dropped in favor of Manslaughter. He did not plead not guilty, therefore he was given a sentence of seven-year, five years of probation, and community service of 300 hours.
