He began his career as a screenwriter. He once contacted the writer of the Indian reality comedy show “Comedy Circus” through Facebook and asked him to let him (played by Gaurav) be his assistant. He met various Indian comedians on the show and decided to make a career as a stand-up comedian. He then began performing comedy acts at various stage shows and live events. He appeared as a comedian in the television comedy show “Comedy Class” (2015). The show is popular for its role as Selfie Mausi, played by Indian comedian Siddharth Sagar.
In 2017, he made his debut as an actor in the SAB TV series “Sajan Re Phir Jhoot Mat Bolo”, playing the role of Deepak Tijori.
Gaurav has appeared as a comedian in many television shows such as Comedy Nights Live (2018), Comedy Circus (2018), Khatra Khatra Khatra (2019) and Good Night India ( 2022).
