Police released CCTV of Gaynor earlier this week in the hope that people who saw her would come forward.

But the woman’s body was found in the River Wensum after a “detailed and methodical search” on Friday – seven days after she went missing.

The police tragically confirmed today that the body is Gaynor, after formal identification.

Underwater divers found her body on Friday morning after an “extensive search”.

Norfolk Police said: “A Home Office post mortem carried out on Saturday found no evidence of third party involvement.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious.

“The Home Office pathologist is awaiting toxicology results before officially confirming the cause of death.

“Early indications are consistent with drowning.”

A Home Office post-mortem on Saturday found no signs that anyone else was involved.

New footage emerged yesterday showing the mum’s last known movements.

Gaynor went missing after leaving work early in Norwich city center at 2.45pm on December 8.

Her belongings were found in Wensum Park, about 2.5 miles from her workplace at Jarrolds department store, while her coat was also discovered in the river that runs through the park.

Officers said her clothing, cell phone, glasses and jewelry, including two rings, were found at various locations in the park.

Police then released surveillance video of Gaynor earlier this week in hopes that people who saw her would come forward.

In the footage, she was seen smiling as she left work, before appearing to race through the streets.

An Environment Agency search vessel was then stationed next to the buoy while the dive team arrived shortly after 11am.

Two members of the specialist diving team could be seen surveying the area, checking that the water was safe to enter.

Police divers with flippers could be seen ready to enter the water at a park further up the river, but after a phone call was received, their gear was packed and they were diverted.

On Friday around 12 noon, police officers could be seen taking something out of the river in a black bag.
