GCET 2024 Cancelled
GCET 2024: The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Goa will not conduct the Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) 2024 in the coming year. All admissions to Engineering BE courses offered by participating institutes in Goa will now be done on the basis of JEE Main 2024. Also, for BPharm courses, admissions will be done on the basis of the best overall score in Physics and Chemistry either in JEE Main or NEET 2024.
Now candidates will be allotted seats according to their marks secured in JEE Main 2024. NTA will conduct JEE Main 2024 Session 1 from 24th January to 1st February. While session 2 will take place from April 1 to 15. Candidates have a choice to appear in JEE Main Session 1 or 2 or both. If they appear in both sessions, the best score will be taken into account in the final score.

Candidates can apply for JEE Mains 2024 online at the official website: jeemain.nta.ac.in. Recently, along with the release of application form, NTA has also updated the official website of JEE. There is also an online chat option in the lower right corner. According to media reports, NTA informed, “Until now, NIC (National Informatics Centre) has served as the host for online application forms for JEE Main. NTA has now developed this new platform and is in the process of using its own server for activities related to hosting online application forms and generating city notices, entry cards and score cards, etc.”
