Geeta Kapur is a lively 45-year-old woman who was born on July 5, 1973 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She has had a keen interest in dance since she was a child. She used to dance at family events and also competed in dance competitions.
At the age of 15, Geeta joined Farah Khan’s group in order to clarify her ideas about dance. She then began choreographing professionally and opened her own dance academy. In addition to choreography and dancing, she also worked as a model for a while when she was younger.

She began her career after learning dance techniques from Farrakhan Dance Company. Initially, she started her own dance academy.
In 1998, she made her debut as a background dancer in the Bollywood song “Tujhe Yaad Na Meri Aaye” in the movie “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”.

She has choreographed for several Bollywood films such as Fiza (2000), Ashoka (2001), Satya (2002), Heyy Babyy (2007), Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic (2008), Aladdin (2009), Tees Maar Khan’s Sheila Ki Jawani’ (2010), Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya (2011) and Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi (2012).
She has also choreographed for many award shows and concerts, including The Temptations Reloaded, and for the 2013 Pepsi IPL opening ceremony.
She made her television debut as a judge on the dance reality show Dance India Dance (season 2) in 2008, after which she permanently shifted her attention to the small screen and started judging dance reality shows. She has served as a judge for more than 14 dance reality shows including “Dance India Dance”, “DID L’il Masters”, “DID Doubles”, and “Dance Ke Super Kids”.
She also made a special appearance on the show DID Lil Masters, where her mentors Farah Khan and Sandip Soparkar served as judges during auditions and special episodes.

At around 5 am in 2015, she was driving at high speed on JP Road in Versova Vateshwar Naka and hit a pedestrian named Nisar Noor Mohammed, resulting in a fracture of her right knee. Although Geeta tried many ways to resolve the matter outside the police level, the victim was not ready and he filed an FIR against her, after which she was arrested by the Versova police but was later released on bail.
