The video opens with the family walking in the woods with Kate, who provides the voice.
She said: “As the summer draws to a close, I can’t tell you what a relief it is to have finally finished my chemotherapy.
“The last nine months have been incredibly difficult for us as a family.
“Life as you know it can change in an instant and we had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and the unknown road.”

Kate announced the news we’ve all been waiting for
Matt Wilkinson, Royal Editor
The Princess of Wales has announced the news that everyone has been waiting for – she has completed a cycle of cancer treatment and is returning to a program of light public engagements.
And she announced the news in such a wonderful way with a video message that shows her smiling, healthy and enjoying life with William and their children.
It’s a tale of two videos in many ways. Back in March, she told the world in an emotional video – which left many viewers in tears – that she was undergoing preventative cancer treatment, saying it was a ‘big shock’ but that she had to be with her family and said she asked for time because we wanted to ‘ focus on full recovery’
And this new video announcement could make people cry again. But this time with happiness because she is surrounded by William, her three children and parents Michael and Carole.
She explains her ‘relief’ after finishing chemotherapy and describes how her family has navigated the ‘stormy waters’ of what she says are ‘complex, terrifying and unpredictable’ struggles.
She talks about her cancer treatment, which helped her reflect on the most important things in life, which include “simply loving and being loved”
In his own words, he says that he takes each day as it comes” and describes a “renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life”.
And he tells other cancer patients that he is with them.
Now, while we have this wonderful announcement and footage, we won’t be seeing the Princess of Wales on any engagements this week, but her return to lighter duties won’t be far off.
As I said, it will be a light program as she continues her recovery in her own words she wants to stay cancer free.
She intends to appear at the Armistice Day commemoration supporting her family and war heroes in November and at her Christmas carol concert in December.
But I also think we’ll see her before that – supporting causes close to her heart.
Kate was diagnosed with cancer in February. It’s been a long fight and she’s thrilled with the support she’s received.
In her report, the princess did not disclose the type of cancer or its stage.
But her return to several engagements is expected to continue until the end of the year.
And if he stays cancer-free, use that as a springboard into 2025 when he can put a tough year behind him and a more rigorous and complete program will be in place.
The Princess of Wales first announced she had unspecified cancer in March.
She added: “The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, but especially for those closest to you.
“As well as being humble, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you’ve never considered before and a new perspective on everything.”
“This time has primarily reminded William and I to reflect and be grateful for the simple but important things in life that many of us often take for granted.
“Simply loving and being loved. Doing everything I can to stay cancer free is my focus now.”
The touching footage shows the family enjoying a walk in the woods, sitting on a picnic in a field and hanging out with Kate’s parents.

Kate went on to say that although she has finished chemotherapy, “my road to healing and full recovery is long and I have to keep taking each day as it comes.”
She said: “However, I’m looking forward to getting back to work and doing a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can.
“Despite all that has gone before, I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation for life.
“William and I are very grateful for the support we have received and have drawn great strength from all those who are helping us at this time.
“Everyone’s kindness, empathy and compassion was truly humbling.”
In a touching final message, Kate added: “To all those who continue their own cancer journey – I stand with you, shoulder to shoulder.”

Kate will be making a number of engagements in the coming months, including charity events that are known to be close to her heart.
She is also expected to support beloved husband Wills in his public appearances, such as the Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday.

Kate’s cancer shows that this disease does not discriminate – please get checked
dr. Zoe Williams, GP The Sun
It is wonderful news that the Princess of Wales has finished chemotherapy.
We all hope that Kate can look forward to a long and healthy life.
What the princess’s case highlights is that cancer does not discriminate, anyone can get it, regardless of age.
In fact, one in two of us will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in our lives.
While we shouldn’t live in fear of cancer, this is a timely reminder that it’s important to get checked and act if we notice something unfavorable.
It sounds like Kate’s cancer was identified at the right time, at a time when she could have received treatment.
Early diagnosis of cancer is vital, the earlier it is detected, the greater the chances of successful treatment.
If you do not feel yourself, if you notice that something has changed, do not postpone the examination.
It is fair to say that there are so many different types of cancer, and as a result so many different symptoms.
Sometimes there are no particular signs, except that you don’t feel well. If you’re more tired than usual, if you notice that you’re losing weight and don’t know why, if you notice any symptom that affects how your body works—a change in bowel habits, for example, or improper urination—check it out.
It could be a symptom that just doesn’t get better, generally if it’s cancer, those unpleasant symptoms will get worse.
We all experience symptoms that can last for several weeks, such as coughing or bloating.
But if these symptoms persist and seem to be getting worse, don’t wait, see your GP.
The best defense we have against cancer is to be vigilant with our body, and if we suspect something is wrong, we will go for an examination as soon as possible.
That and making sure you accept the invitation when the NHS offers you a free cancer check.
My thoughts are with Princess Kate, Prince William and their family after what must have been a terrible nine months.
My thoughts, as well as Kate’s, are with all those affected by cancer.
