George Clooney Says He Was Desperate to Escape Farm Life in Ky., Only to End Up on Tractor at Home in France

George Clooney returns to his agrarian roots.

“Growing up in Kentucky, all I wanted to do was move away from the farm, escape from that life,” Clooney shared in a recent interview New York Times.

Decades later, the main residence of the actor with his wife Amal and their children – twins Ella and Alexander, 7 – is a farmhouse in France. Ironically, he reveals, “Now I find myself in that life. I drive a tractor and all these things,” adding “it’s the best chance in normal life.”

In addition to his family home in France, Clooney also has an estate in England, a villa on Lake Como in Italy and another estate near his family in Kentucky.
