George Lopez Sends His Friend Paul Stanley from KISS ‘Flowers on His Birthday Every Year’ (Exclusive)

George Lopez is nothing but a good friend. Just ask KISS’s Paul Stanley.

Lopez, 62, sold flowers when he was 14 to buy his first guitar. “It’s become my vice to buy them,” she tells PEOPLE in this week’s issue.

“I have 60 of them in my house. It helps because I’ve become friends with everyone whose poster I’ve had on my wall. Carlos Santana. I send Paul flowers on his birthday every year,” adds Lopez.

These are friendships that Lopez will never take for granted. “This guy is one of the most recognized people in the world. He’s been all over the world,” he explains of Stanley. “When I send him flowers, he calls me: ‘George, these flowers are amazing’.’ If they’re amazing to him, they belong in the lobby of the Taj Mahal.”

Actor and comedian, who stars alongside his daughter Mayan on NBC’s hit sitcom Lopez vs. Lopezsat down with the magazine for One Last Thing:

The last time I danced, I danced in my garage of all places. Whenever I let the car warm up, if I hear “Tenth Avenue Freeze Out” by Bruce Springsteen, I just dance.

The last time I faced fear, I jumped 40 feet. a cliff in Hawaii. My legs were a little too straight, so I bruised my coccyx. But now I did. I don’t think my skeletal structure at this stage could do it again.

Last DIY Project I’m not handy, but I’ll tell you why. I cleaned the gutters on my first house. The guy I bought it from asked if I was a professional gutter cleaner. I said, “I didn’t.” He says, “What are you?” I said, “I’m an actor, a comedian.” And he says, “Then get down before something happens and never act or tell jokes again.” I don’t take a lot of advice, but I do when it makes sense.
