The extra large Pop-Tarts were so good they sold out!
The company revealed on social media on Wednesday, August 7 that its limited edition Party Pastry – which is 73 times the size of a normal Pop-Tart – sold out after just one day.
“Our Party Pastry was a big deal. So big, it’s already gone,” the brand said.
Its website also reflected the news, saying the super-sized treat was “out of stock.”
Created to celebrate Pop-Tarts’ 60th birthday, the frozen strawberry treat cost $60 and was only available to those in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. Only 15 party cookies were produced in each city and could be customized “with cursive buttercream frosting” for any celebration, according to the company.
The news about the promotion was only published on August 5. The sale was supposed to last from August 7 at 1 p.m. to August 3 at 3 p.m., but eager buyers snapped them up quickly.
Those lucky enough to receive them will receive the treat in a three-foot-tall box, the company said, between August 14 and 16.
Meanwhile, Pop-Tarts has already teased another possible release. “Shall we drink another drop?” they wrote on Instagram. “Sign up to be prepared, just in case 😉.”

Foodbeast got an early sneak peek of the treat, unboxing it in an Instagram video.
Founder Elie Ayrouth and his staff compared the size of the treat to an iPhone before taking turns taking photos with the large food item. They then took turns tearing off pieces, one noting that the sprinkles on top of the treat were “life-size” and another who tried the pop-tart saying it was “so good.” Others exclaimed “wow” when they tried it for the first time.
“It tastes like regular [pop-tart] just a lot bigger,” one creator remarked, before Ayrouth said the party pastry was “too pop-tart for us” and offered it to others to try.

It’s been a busy year for Pop-Tarts, a company celebrating its 60th anniversary following April’s Jerry Seinfeld Netflix movie Unfrozenwho shared a fictional and humorous take on the invention of the iconic delicacy.
The toaster dough maker wasn’t behind the film, but did share its comedy short shortly after the film was dropped. It showed Seinfeld being brought into the Pop-Tarts offices to discuss “trademark infringement” with company representatives.
