Gisele Bündchen is in a good place in her life.
A source tells PEOPLE that the 43-year-old supermodel has “bloomed” since her divorce from ex-husband Tom Brady.
“She’s safe and happy, and so busy with her life that she doesn’t have time to think about the negative things out there,” the source said.
The former couple divorced in October 2022 after 13 years of marriage. The former agreed to joint custody of their children: Benjamin (14) and Vivian (11). Brady (46) is also the father of son Jack (16) with ex-girlfriend, actress Bridget Moynahan.
In an interview with vanity fair last year, Bündchen said she and the retired NFL star realized they “wanted different things” compared to when they met in their 20s.

While that “doesn’t mean you don’t love the person,” Bündchen said, “It just means that in order to be authentic and truly live the life you want to live, you have to have someone who can satisfy you in the middle, right? It’s a balance. ”
“When you love someone, you don’t put them in jail and tell them, ‘You have to live this life,'” Feed added cookbook author. “Free them to be who they are, and if you want to fly in the same direction, then that’s amazing.”

The couple was pictured walking their dogs together on Saturday, June 15, in Surfside, Florida. Bündchen wore a white tank top and dark jeans, while her jiu-jitsu instructor boyfriend, 36, wore a blue T-shirt and black pants.

A source told PEOPLE that the duo have a “close relationship, but not a serious relationship.”
The couple started dating in June 2023. They met because Bündchen’s son Benjamin was taking jiu-jitsu classes at Valente’s academy.

“Joaquim is a great guy. He’s down-to-earth, kind and inspiring,” a source told PEOPLE in July of Valente, adding that the couple’s “friendship” turned romantic after her divorce from Brady.
“It was very natural for her to date Joaquim,” the source added.
Speaking to Robin Roberts for “IMPACT x Nightline: Gisele Bündchen: Climbing the Mountain” earlier this year, Bündchen touched on her love life and shared, “Where my heart is right now, that’s where I am. I live my truth and I’m unapologetic because of that.”
