Glen Powell Reacts After His Mom Pokes Fun at Him: ‘Anyone Have Good Nursing Home Recommendations?’

Glen Powell isn’t afraid to clap back at his haters — even his mom!

After Hey! News posted a story about how it is Anyone but you star’s mother, Cyndy Powell, keeps him humble, the actor took to X (formerly Twitter) to humiliate her.

On Saturday, Powell, 35, shared an article titled “Why Glen Powell’s Mom Described Him as a ‘Little Jerk'” and joked, “Anyone have any good nursing home recommendations?”

“I feel like it’s time,” he added.

It’s just jokes Top Gun: Maverick star, however, since he and his mom have a very close relationship — not to mention that the “little dork” quote actually comes from Powell himself.

The premiere of his new film at Sundance Hit Manthe actor spoke with Hey! News about Cyndy and his dad, Glen Powell Sr., who walked the festival’s red carpet with him.

Reflecting on his rise to fame, Powell said his parents “keep me humble,” adding that “it’s very funny to be on this journey with them.”

“Obviously sometimes you don’t realize the changes that are happening, but often your mother is the first person to realize that the temperature has changed a bit,” he added.

When asked what his mom calls him out on the most, Powell said it’s “probably my clothes” — specifically, his turned-up collars.

“He keeps trying to take my collar off. She says, ‘Glen, you know, you might look a little stupid,'” he told the newspaper. “And I say, ‘Well, Hollywood is a little stupid sometimes. That’s what we do here.'”

But at the end of the day, fame or not, family is very important to Powell. They keep him grounded.

In fact, he cites his family as what keeps him “most sane.”

“With everything that changes, I know that they will be there and that they are a consistency in my life,” he told za Hey! News. “They enjoy the ride as much as I do — they would never miss a premiere. They never miss an opportunity to celebrate me and I’m really grateful for that.”

Last November, Powell portrayed his parents in a less silly light on social media with a post celebrating a special milestone in their marriage.

“A quick trip to the base of the Jefferson Memorial…where 40 years ago my dad proposed to my mom,” he captioned a collection of family photos. “Happy anniversary, you two.”

“I’m happy to have your love in my life every day,” he added.
