Glen Powell is almost unrecognizable in the upcoming comedy series Chad Powers.
In a first look at the upcoming Hulu show, Twisters star, 35, sports a shaggy haircut, thin mustache and what appears to be a prosthetic nose as he takes on the lead role. In the video, Powell wears a blue Nike T-shirt — emblazoned with “200” — as well as yellow shorts and a sleeve.

“When bad behavior ruins the college career of accomplished QB Russ Holliday (Powell), he disguises himself and joins a struggling Southern football team as the talented, affable Chad Powers,” according to the official synopsis.
The series was inspired in 2002 Eli’s places video starring former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning, in which he goes undercover on Penn State Football tryouts.
It also stars Steve Zahn, Toby Huss, Perry Mattfeld, Wynn Everett, Frankie A. Rodriguez and Quentin Plair, according to Diversity.

Powell — who serves as an executive producer alongside Eli and his brother Peyton Manning — also shared the first image in a joint Instagram post alongside a throwback of Eli’s sketch and an image of him and the NFL star. .
“Think fast, run fast. Glen Powell is #ChadPowers in Hulu’s new comedy series,” reads the caption.
On Tuesday, August 20, Anyone but you star marked the start of filming by posting the first Instagram post of the series — which featured the flapper — to her Instagram Story. He titled the post “THE GAME IS BUILDING”.

The Top Gun: Maverick The actor also discussed taking over the role from Eli during an appearance on The Eli Manning Show.
“I don’t know if I like you playing Chad Powers,” Eli teased. “Like, I’m Chad Powers.”
“Yeah, Chad vs. Chad, man. Look, I’m not going to try to one-up you, I’m really going to try to honor your legacy, but this is what I’m doing,” Powell replied.

After noting that he was “studying” Eli’s tape — both game day and acting — the Super Bowl winner joked, “All the interceptions, you just overthrew them?”
Eli even teased Powell about his iconic shirtless soccer scene in the Top Gun: Maverick.
“We’ve talked about it before, you’ve never thrown a ball covered in coconut oil,” the actor replied, with Eli jokingly adding, “I thought that’s why they cast you as Chad, just because we have similar bodies.”
