“My hometown is Frayser, Tennessee.” By Frayser [a Memphis neighborhood] I am also from Memphis.” She also expressed her pride in being one of the post-Young Dolph Memphis rappers trying to promote the city.

In an interview with Refinery 29, she said:

“It’s great. I’m really happy to join because it’s a new wave. “I’m honored to be one of the pioneers of the new wave.”

In another interview, she said that she no longer lives there. She said on Revolt’s Big Facts podcast that she “won’t be in Memphis for long” because there’s “too much” going on. The artist seems to be referring to the violence against the city’s rappers.

GloRilla’s latest single, FNF, peaked at number one on the Billboard Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Broadcast Chart.

Glorilla’s FNF track, which also features HitKidd, went viral. On April 29, 2022, the song was posted and quickly became popular on the video sharing platform TikTok, creating a resounding success for both artists. It peaked at #1 on Billboard’s Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay Chart. Despite the fact that the song has become popular on the TikTok platform, GloRilla has previously said that she is not primarily interested in making music on TikTok.

In a statement to Refinery29, the rapper said:

“I have a bar.” I don’t usually create songs for TikTok. But sometimes it’s so hard that it goes viral just because it’s so great.”

The musician has been recognized by rappers such as Travis Scott and DeJ Loaf.

GloRilla and CardiB unite on new track Tomorrow2.

Cardi B calls GloRilla’s FNF a “summer tune”. She then appeared as a guest on Shake It Kay Flock with Dougie B and Bory300 in April, followed by Hot Sh*t in July, which featured Kanye West and Lil Durk.
