Gogglebox star Simon Minty, 55, spoke of the “terrible” situation when he was watched by children in a store, who pointed and laughed at him cruelly.
He tweeted: “Some 12-year-old boys came up to me today to point and laugh. I said ‘grow up’. I kept shopping and they had to muster up their courage to follow me. I’m close. as talked to the store security, it was terrible. Left for Waitrose’s safety, ran into a special friend and met.”

The TV personality added: “Thanks to everyone who commented and sent their support, love, hugs and wisdom. It was such a lovely, overwhelming and kind surprise. Please take care. heart and thank you.”

He then took the time to reassure his followers that he was fine. One person replied, “So sorry to hear this! As a mother, I would be horrified and devastated if my child did this. Have a great weekend,” while another replied. added: “It must have been the day Simon. Had the experience of staring at the center yesterday when we were out. I haven’t felt this uncomfortable in a long time. I’m happy. because you’ve found a friend to help relieve stress. Support makes all the difference.”

Simon replied: “I know I’m not alone Steph. It happens to a lot of us, fortunately not too often.” Responding to another, he added: “There’s also pressure from friends. I was going to tell them ‘one or more of you are not comfortable with what you’re doing right now, stand up for it. what you believe in and you will do. have a better life than the rest.'” \

He also said that it was nice to meet a friend in the store, it brightened his day. “In my head I thought I needed a ‘good moment’ before going home… and then I ran into her,” he wrote. “Yes, the world was on my side… It usually doesn’t penetrate armor, but sometimes it does. My friend is really cool.”
Simon runs a consulting firm focused on improving conditions for employees with disabilities. Sminty Ltd’s website says: “Simon has personal experience with disabilities due to his short stature and limited mobility. He uses scooters to get around. He enjoys the presence active on social media and regularly blogs about current events and topics.”
The TV character has been a fan favorite since his sister Jane appeared on the show in 2021 – and we can’t wait to see them on our screens again!
