Satinder Singh, better known by his alias Goldy Brar, was a Canadian gangster. He was a close associate of notorious Indian gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Goldie is famous for being responsible for the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Muthewala.

Involved in Sidhu Moosewala murder case
On May 29, 2022, popular Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead by unidentified assailants in a Mahindra SUV in Jawaharke village in Mansa district.

Two vehicles reportedly followed Sidhu’s car before he was shot. According to police, eight assailants attacked Musewala and fired about 30 rounds at him using three AK-94 rifles.

Hours after Mushwara was brutally murdered, Goldie Brar claimed responsibility for Mushwara’s murder on his Facebook account, along with jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Apparently Goldie and Lawrence planned the assassination of Musewala as his name was mentioned in the killings of Akali leader Vicky Miduhla and Goldie’s cousin Gulal Brar surfaced in the incident. Vicky was shot dead in Mohali in 2021 and Goldie’s cousin Gurlal Brar was shot dead outside a club in Chandigarh in 2020. Goldie also alleged that Musewala was involved in the encounter with their close aide Ankit Bhadu. Goldie wrote in his Facebook post,

After making the Facebook post, Lawrence Bishnoi also claimed to have killed Sidhu Moosewala through a Facebook post. He wrote,

Police said the attack may be linked to a rivalry between the Lawrence Bishnoi and Lucky Patial gangs. In an interview with the media, the police stated,
We are investigating the matter and have some leads. “
Other criminal activities
Goldie lived in Canada and was involved in extortion activities in Punjab at the behest of Lawrence Bishnoi. In 2021, the Punjab Faridkot district court issued an indefinite, non-bailable arrest warrant against Goldie for his involvement in the killing of Youth Congress leader Gurlal Singh Pehalwan . According to reports, Gulal died on the spot after being shot by two unidentified men in Faridkot. He is also accused of being involved in the double murder of brothers Paramjit and Surjit, a close associate of jailed gangster Kaushal, in Gurgaon in February 2022 . - Following Goldy Brar’s Facebook post claiming responsibility for Sidhu Moosewala’s murder, gangster Davinder Bambiha’s gang has publicly challenged Goldy and Lawrence Bishnoi through social media posts. The gang wrote that they would avenge Musewala’s murder within two days. The group also wrote that Sidhu is innocent and has no ties to any gang organization.
