She has a son named Anbu; she is a single mother. At the age of 19, she married the boy she loved; however, she experienced many hardships during her marriage. In an episode of Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 5, she spoke about her married life and said:
I can see changes in the person I love just one day after getting married. Whenever I talked to someone or someone came to see me, he would physically attack me. I got pregnant two months after the wedding and the abuse continued. One day, when my mom was home, he attacked me so hard that she warned him. This continued and I decided to commit suicide. I held the poison bottle in my hand and was about to drink it when the baby kicked me for the first time. It feels like my Ambu asked me not to do this. I decided at that moment that I was not going to kill myself, that I was going to live for my children. ”
