Penn Badgley and Taylor Momsen give Gossip girl fans an unexpected reunion between two former stars. The special occasion is part of Badgley’s podcast, Crushedand will arrive on Wednesday.
As Crushed teased the couple’s reunion on Instagram on Friday, Badgley was pictured jokingly tapping Momsen on the head as she smiled from ear to ear. The second shot of the post was more serious, with Badgley, 36, and Momsen, 30, smiling for the camera.

“A reunion worth the wait… 👯,” read the caption of the post. – But don’t ask us what is happening in the second photo, we don’t know either.
The photos of the reunion caused tens upon dozens of excitement Gossip girl fans. Even Paris Hilton responded to Momsen’s reposting of the footage with a heart-shaped eye emoji.

Badgley and Momsen played Dan and Jenny Humprey, respectively Gossip girl. Although the series ran for six seasons on the CW, The Pretty Reckless frontwoman left in the third season. But she later returned for the Season 4 episode “Easy J” and for a brief cameo in the 2012 series finale.
Badgely once defended Momsen against rumors about her off-screen behavior, telling Hollywood Life in 2010 that “teenagers go through what they’re going to go through.”

Even though the series ended long ago, Badgley continued to keep up with his co-stars. It had Leighton Meester in the debut episode Crushed last year. Chace Crawford also later appeared in episodes of the podcast, a reunion that took place two years after the pair made up DiversityThe segment “Actors about actors” together in 2020.
