One of the first two DLC characters released for the game, Narmaya has one of the most unique playstyles on the entire roster. Narmaya’s game plan revolves around her two different positions. One is her unsheathed posture, and the other is her unsheathed posture. Both have completely different moves and tools at her disposal. This makes her one of the most challenging characters to play effectively, as well as one of the most entertaining and interesting. This guide will provide players with basic tips and tricks for playing and mastering Narmaya.
Understanding Narmaia’s Position Effectively in Granblue Fantasy Versus
A good Narmaya player has an above-average awareness of how to properly use her powerful stance. However, this task may be more difficult than it appears at first glance. Mastering just one pose is a challenge in itself, as the movements and game plan for each pose are almost entirely different.
The two stances of Narmaya are her unsheathed and unsheathed form. Each has a relatively complex series of moves and special moves. Therefore, it is necessary for players to fully understand the relative advantages and disadvantages of each position.
The unsheathed stance is a stance that embodies an aggressive charge style of play. Gives Narmay new normal attacks, each suitable for a hyper-aggressive playstyle. Equip her with faster attacks, some nice ranged jabs, and a variety of powerful special moves to help her overwhelm enemies. The special moves associated with this attack deal high damage and a high likelihood of confusion. Her first special move is a series of powerful slashes called Kyouka Suigetsu, whose main purpose is to be a useful combo finisher. Narmaya can also use a powerful hybrid tool in her Sengetsu, an overhead attack that can hit the opponent’s other side. The heavy version of the attack has a lot of extra frames and can be adjusted into a blurry hybrid attack.
The unsheathed stance gives Narmaia a very different playstyle than the unsheathed stance. Unsheath doesn’t use a melee attack style, but a long-distance game plan. The unsheathed stance gives her a variety of different attacks, and the main advantage of this stance is her powerful evasion tool. The first is her Setsuna, a far-reaching slicing nirvana, and this attack will be Narmaia’s primary attack in this pose. Its long range combined with its projectile cancellation properties make this move a nuisance for even the best area shooters in the entire game. Narmaia is able to stop enemies’ runaway styles with this attack, making her a powerful threat from a distance. Namaya also gets an invulnerable uppercut style attack as well as a versatile teleportation dash attack, giving this stance some versatile defense.
For Narmaya players to truly excel, they need to be able to expertly utilize both of her stances. Being able to switch poses to adapt to your opponent’s playstyle is what makes this character so difficult and fun. So be sure to familiarize yourself with the intricacies of both of her poses, and you’ll be one step closer to mastery.
Understanding Narmaia’s Strengths and Weaknesses in Granblue Fantasy
Narmaya has a lot of strengths as a character. She is versatile and can adapt to any style of play when needed. However, the role is not without its flaws. In order to truly take advantage of this character, players must understand her strengths and weaknesses and be able to adapt to both.
As mentioned before, Narmaya’s strength stems from her versatility. At some point during a game, she can become a monster at a distance, capable of poking an aggressive player from almost full screen. When they become frustrated, the same narmaya player can quickly change sides and go on the offensive. Bully opponents, force opponents to submit to her oppression. In addition to her high combo damage, Narmaya is a character that suits highly skilled players and rewards them with technical abilities. She also has a formidable arsenal of ranged attacks paired with an oppressive array of close-quarters moves, making her a well-rounded character.
However, Narmaya is not without flaws, and her seemingly improbable kit has plenty of them. While she’s extremely versatile in switching positions, she’s likely to be turned off by partitioners on the roster. Her unsheathed stance will be overwhelmed by the full-screen pressure of a good Meterea or Ferry, so being able to keep them in the mid-range of the screen is crucial for these matchups. When she’s not in an unsheathed stance, she gets bullied by ranged pokes and neutral characters. Despite her decent range of motion, she’s still inferior to characters like Ferry and Vaselaga. Narmaya also requires a very solid knowledge of fighting games to use effectively. Given Narmaya’s high skill cap, this makes Narmaya a difficult role for beginners to master and learn. Therefore, to truly master Narmaya, players need to spend time learning the basics of fighting games and their intricate systems and mechanics.
However, this character can be very powerful if in the right hands. If played correctly, this character is one of the strongest in the game. Able to fill various gaps that other characters can only hope to fill.
