Viewers watching Tuesday night’s episode of The Great British Bake Off were left very divided after judge Paul Hollywood gave two of his famous handshakes.
The celebrity chef has appeared on the baking show since it began in 2010, and during the series has shared his special ‘Hollywood handshake’ as a nod to deserving contestants.

In the latest installment of the show, Paul shook hands twice: once with Tasha for her “delicate and beautiful” marshmallow biscuits, and once with Josh, who was praised for his showstopper “illusion biscuits”.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, viewers were very divided about Paul’s gesture, with some fans saying it was too early in the series for Paul to shake hands.

A third fan complained it was “too soon”, adding: “Remember when they actually meant something. Now he gives them so often they’ve lost meaning”, while a fourth tweeted: “Hate when Paul gives handshakes so early in the series but well deserved Tasha!”
However, not all viewers were impressed and many felt that both Tasha and Josh deserved Paul’s handshake. One person wrote: “Josh 1000% deserved that awesome handshake. Absolutely amazing!” while another added: “Two handshakes in one episode. Amazing. #gbbo #britishbakeoff.”

After leaving the tent, Keith said, “It’s okay, I feel good, nothing sad at the moment.” He said.
“I had a fantastic time. My arm was bruised from the first week pinching myself every half hour. I don’t know how many hours I’ll spend the rest of my life banging on about this.
“I was very comfortable when I left because I think it was undoubtedly one of the easiest decisions in GBBO history so I wasn’t surprised.”
