Segal was devastated when Rogoff died. When he received an invitation to the high school’s 45th anniversary, he was at his “lowest point”. As a result, he turned down the offer, perhaps jeopardizing any hopes of rekindling his teenage love. I turned down the offer because I was in the middle of a downward spiral in my life. With Linda’s death, I became indifferent to everything. I had to work for a living. Acting, like life, has become a job. As a result, I was unable to attend my high school reunion.
Greenbaum’s New Connection
The reunion party organizers wanted the actor to attend, so they contacted Greenbaum to convince him to come. When she contacted him, the two spent hours talking and getting to know each other. Died at the age of 87
On March 23, 2021, Segal will say goodbye to his wife of 22 years, Sonia Schultz Greenbaum, one last time. At the age of 87, he died of complications following bypass surgery. Greenbaum, his beloved wife, announced his death the same day in a statement sent to Sony Television. “The family is heartbroken to report that George Segal passed away this morning from complications following bypass surgery,” she added. Adam F. Goldberg, producer of The Goldbergs, also paid tribute to the late actor on Twitter, writing that Segal was “a child with a brilliant soul.” He describes him as “the ideal guy for a father’s portrait”.
