It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic news of the passing of our dear friend Greg Demers, leaving us deeply saddened. I sent him an e-mail a few moments ago, attaching a dear picture of the two of us at the Silver Tee Golf and Virtual Gaming Center, where we recently spent some unforgettable moments together. Those times were filled with joy and laughter. Today is the first full day of our stay in Canada.
Despite work commitments during the holidays, our priority was to meet for dinner whenever possible. Rest in peace, Bud. I love Jimmy and Tee from the bottom of my heart. It is evident that Sweet Blue will feel your absence the most. The void left behind is indescribable.
In Beach Grove, where we lived at the time, we were about 13 or 14 when we first met. Greg was already an impressive golfer, and his talent led him to win scholarships and achieve great things in his career. Our bond grew stronger as we spent summers working at Roseland Golf Club, putting in the hard work and enjoying each other’s company.
Those summers were a perfect combination of hard work and enjoyment, and we remained close friends over the years. Greg was the epitome of a true gentleman, who was never shy about expressing his honest emotions. He wore his heart on his sleeve.
