GSEB Class 10, 12 Exam Pattern: The Gujarat state government has announced changes in the Class 10 and 12 board exams starting from the academic session 2023-24. The changes were introduced after a meeting chaired by state CM Bhupendra Patel and attended by Education Minister Kuber Dindor along with senior officials. Key Changes in GSEB Class 10, 12 Exam Pattern
Changes have been made in the Gujarat Class 10 and 12 exam pattern in view of the National Education Policy 2020. One of the major changes includes an increase of 10 percent – from 20 to 30 percent in objective questions and the proportion of descriptive questions has gone down from 30 to 20 percent.
Moreover, Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GSHSEB) Class 12 Science students can appear for one or all supplementary exams (June-July) to improve their performance. According to the state government, the best of the two will be considered.
Additionally, 10th grade students can take supplementary exams in 3 subjects. Previously, the limit was set at two subjects. Similarly, students of class 12th general stream can appear for exams in two subjects instead of one.
GSEB Class 12 Science stream, total 50 percent MCQs are retained. However, changes were announced in the remaining 50 percent of descriptive questions. Also, students will not be able to choose an internal choice now. Instead, they will get choices and general options with a question mark.
Gujarat Board Exam Date 2024
The Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GSHSEB) has announced the dates of the Class 12th and Class 10th Board Exams 2024. According to the Gujarat Board Exam Time Table 2024, the Science Stream for Class 12th and the Secondary School Certificate (SSC ) will be taken from March 11 to March 26, 2024.
