On Friday, August 2, Fieri, 56, sat alongside Flavor Flav, 65, to cheer on the team that earned a 17-5 victory in the preliminary game against France.

Fieri’s attendance at the Olympics comes a week after he was spotted on a lake trip in Ruth Lake, Calif., with his sons Ryder and Hunter and Hunter’s fiancee Tara Bernstein. The family participated in a variety of outdoor activities, including wakeboarding and hiking.

Flav’s presence at the Olympics comes as no surprise as the rapper has pledged to fund the US women’s water polo team in May.

The Public Enemy founder pledged to sponsor the team after team captain Maggie Steffens, 30, wrote on Instagram that she and other players needed financial help to compete in the Olympics.

“Since I’m sponsoring this water polo team, this will help me cross something off my bucket list,” Flav told PEOPLE of the sponsorship later that same month. “You know what? I’ve always wanted to go to the Olympics one day and see it and see it live with my own eyes, not just on TV. You know what I’m saying?”

Flav added that he wanted to help give the team a “chance.”

Jill Biden thanks Flavor Flav for sponsoring the US women’s water polo team at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

“There are a lot of women, I say all they want is an opportunity,” he said. “And all they want to do is feel like they got a chance. So I just wanted to help and give women the opportunity they’re looking for.”
