Guy Fieri Jumps Onstage at 3 Doors Down Concert to Play Guitar — Watch

When Guy Fieri isn’t eating his way across the US, judging cooking competitions or opening a new restaurant, he’s clearly playing guitar.

The Food Network star, 55, jumped on stage during a 3 Doors Down concert in Boca Raton, Florida. Fieri held a guitar and joined in just as the band played their 2002 hit “I Feel You.”

The day after the concert, Fieri took to Instagram with a series of photos and videos from the night before — including a selfie with singer and drummer Brad Arnold at the end of their set. In the caption of the post, Fieri explained that he was there “filling in” for the band’s guitarist, Chet Roberts.

“Swapped for @chet3doorsdown at the @3doorsdown Bahaha concert last night. Had fun, thanks for having me!!” Fieri’s headline read.

Roberts took to Instagram to comment on the evening’s events, saying he considers Fieri his “long-lost twin.” He also revealed that the chef’s appearance was a surprise to the rest of the band.

“Last night in Boca I met my long-lost twin!! What a great guy!! Guy even came out in the middle of the show with my guitar on ‘filing in for me’ and surprising Brad in the middle of the song! Fun times!” Roberts’ post reads.

It’s clear the rest of the band were delighted by the surprise – Arnold commented on Fieri’s Instagram post that his presence was “awesome”.

“It was great having you guys!!” Arnold added.

This was not the first time that Fieri took the stage at a major concert. During the Stagecoach Festival in Indio, California, Fieri jumped on stage during a performance by country singer Jon Pardi. However, he wasn’t there to perform – instead, he introduced Pardi and his audience to a video appearance by fellow musician Alan Jackson. At that moment, Jackson announced Pardi’s induction into the Grand Ole Opry.

Aside from his usual antics, Fieri has recently been very involved in philanthropy — particularly to support Maui after the island’s devastating wildfires. In August, the Guy Fieri Foundation announced that it would host a “Chefs for Maui Fundraiser” on October 21st. Along with other celebrity chefs, Fieri will host a 15-course feast in Sonoma County, California. The event will also feature live music and celebrity chef meetups.

“I have filmed in over 16 locations in Maui for my shows, and I travel to Maui with my family year after year for vacation. It’s such a special place, and what makes it special are the people,” Fieri told PEOPLE during an exclusive interview in August. “To think of those people who love their island, love their families and make visitors feel welcome, we have to let’s stop what we’re doing and do what we can to help them.”
