Gwen Stefani Cancels Upcoming Atlantic City Performance Due to a ‘Recent Injury’: ‘I’m So Sorry’

Gwen Stefani isn’t feeling “damn good.”

The “Rich Girl” rocker, 54, shared on her Instagram Stories on Saturday, August 10, that she recently suffered an “injury” that has affected her upcoming concert schedule.

“Due to a recent injury and in agreement with my doctors, I have been told that I cannot perform on August 17th at Hard Rock Live at the Etess Arena in Atlantic City,” she wrote.

The musician, who did not reveal further details about her injury, went on to apologize to fans who were affected by the change in plans.

“I’m very sorry and we plan to reschedule the show as soon as possible,” Stefani continued, adding that ticket holders will receive an email from Ticketmaster “as soon as a new show is announced.” She said “current tickets” “will be valid for the new date”.

Gwen Stefani, Anderson .Paak and Ryan Tedder Team Up for ‘Hello World’ Summer Olympics Collaboration

Stefani’s website says she still has a performance at the 2024 iHeart Radio Music Festival in Las Vegas on September 20th before heading to Huntsville, Alabama to perform at the South Star Music Festival on September 28th and Live Out Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico, on October 12.

The announcement comes nearly two weeks after Stefani unveiled her new collaboration song, “Hello World,” with Ryan Tedder and Anderson .Paak for the Olympics. According to a press release, the new song is “aimed at inspiring everyday greatness among athletes and fans around the world.”

“We are thrilled to officially launch ‘Hello World’ for Paris 2024 in partnership with The Coca-Cola Company and the International Olympic Committee (IOC),” Stefani told PEOPLE in a statement at the time. “We hope ‘Hello World’ will inspire positivity as the world comes together to celebrate the Olympics.”

She also shared a video on Instagram of her performing the song in front of the Olympic rings in a silver suit and other behind-the-scenes footage of the music video shoot.

“So honored to have collaborated on ‘Hello World’ alongside @anderson._paak and @ryantedder for the Olympics ✨stream it now 🙂 gx,” she captioned the video.

The former No Doubt musician, who is married to Blake Shelton, is also set to return as a coach on NBC Vote for its final season, which will begin on September 23, alongside Reba McEntire, Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé.

On July 26, NBC released a new promotional video for the upcoming season featuring Snoop, 52, McEntire, 69, Bublé, 48, and Stefani wearing matching outfits and singing a joyous rendition of the Four Tops’ 1966 hit “Reach Out I’ll be there.”

Vote returns to NBC on Monday, September 23 at 8:00 PM ET.
