Gypsy-Rose Blanchard Tries In-N-Out Burger for First Time — See How She Rates It

Gypsy-Rose Blanchard enjoys a taste of “freedom”.

The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard subject — who is now making up for some of what she missed while serving eight years of a 10-year prison sentence — shared a new video on Thursday, May 8, of herself digging into In-N-Out Burger for the first time .

“Trying new things was one of the best parts of being free,” Blanchard, 32, captioned the video, which showed her taking a bite of her meal from the chain restaurant.

As Blanchard explained in the clip, she ordered a Double Double — which the person filming clarified was in the “animal” style. “That’s convenient,” Blanchard replied jokingly.

After taking a large bite of the burger, she pre-estimated her score by dividing it by the score she would give a McDonald’s Big Mac (three out of — probably — 10). She seems to much prefer the In-N-Out meal.

“I would rate this probably a seven,” Blanchard said. “And fries, I’m still not going to lie, McDonald’s is still my favorite fries. [In-N-Out’s] are a little thin. And as you can see, I’m just skinny.”

Blanchard, who is supposed to act Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up on Lifetime, she clarified in the comments section of the post that “the thick-cut fried kind 😜.” She also got some love from Paris Hilton, who backed up one particular statement she made in the clip: “It’s hot 😉.”

Gypsy-Rose Blanchard says media attention after being released from prison had a ‘negative effect on my mental health’

Blanchard was released from prison in December 2023 after serving time for conspiring to kill her mother, 48-year-old Dee Dee Blanchard, with her then-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn. Godejohn committed the killing before being convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison.

The Munchausen by proxy victim was initially active on social media after the announcement, before deciding to take a “step back” from the internet.

As PEOPLE’s Janine Rubenstein told a panel at FYC’s An Evening with Lifetime: Conversations on Controversies event earlier this month, he’s dealing with the Internet differently now than he did in the beginning. “But I’ve only recently gotten back into it because I’ve learned not to read the comments,” Blanchard said. “So I’m just trying to live my life the best way I can.”

“And like I said, it’s going to involve missteps, but I’ve learned from them,” she added.

After deciding to delete all social media platforms on March 14, Blanchard returned to TikTok earlier this month to show off her blonde hair transformation, as well as her recent rhinoplasty.

“I definitely have a good support system,” she said of where she is now with social media. “And I think I’m just now starting to listen to my inner self instead of all the noise on social media. That being said, thank you so much for watching and listening.”
