Hailey Lynn Cook, a vivacious 17-year-old resident of Macungie, left this world on Sunday, June 25, 2023, surrounded by the arms of her loving family. She was the beloved daughter of David and Maria (Klipple) Cook. Hailey, an outstanding student who hails from the esteemed Class of 2024 at Emmaus High School, has won hearts with her exceptional abilities in the classroom and on the field hockey court.
Her dedication and talent contributed significantly to her team’s winning triumphs. Hailey’s bright spirit was evident in her wit, kind nature, and infectious humor, making her a treasured presence among those fortunate enough to know her.
She spent the best moments in the company of her beloved family and friends, as well as exploring new horizons by visiting numerous field hockey tournaments. Hailey found immense joy in the animated mischief of SpongeBob SquarePants, and she found comfort and inspiration in the tunes of her beloved Harry Styles. Her absence will be strongly felt by all whose lives she touched with her enduring light and love.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating news of the untimely death of Hailey Lynn Cook, an outstanding athlete and respected member of the Emmaus High School hockey team. Hailey, aged 17, bravely battled leukemia but sadly succumbed to the disease on Sunday, June 25, 2023, leaving behind a deep void in the hearts of those who knew and admired her.
Hailey Lynn Cook leaves behind her devastated parents, David and Mary (Klipple) Cook, her beloved brother, Casey Cook, and her beloved dog, Otis. She will be greatly missed by her maternal grandmother, Carol Bortz, and her husband, Gil, of Allentown, as well as her maternal grandfather, Leon Klipple, of Nazareth.
Hailey’s paternal grandfather, George Cook, and his wife, Marlene, of Macungie, will also cherish her memory. He joins his late paternal grandmother, Roberta Cook, in eternal rest.
Hailey leaves behind fond memories of her aunt and uncle, Jake Klipple and his wife Lorie of Macungie, Marie Bondi and her husband Steve of Bethlehem and Lori Cook of Emmaus. She is also survived by several relatives and a wide circle of friends, all of whom will forever cherish her presence in their lives.
