Nikki Blonsky got married!
The Hair spray star, 35, announced in a new interview for Out, announced on Saturday, June 1, that she eloped with her husband Hailey Jo Jenson (who uses the pronouns they/them) in an intimate ceremony on October 21, 2023.
“It was super special,” the “I Can Hear the Bells” singer said of the small wedding ceremony. “All I knew was that I wanted to marry Hailey. As long as Hailey showed up, we were ready. Hailey and the person who was going to marry us.”
In a joint interview, the couple also revealed that they got matching rings tattooed to mark the occasion.

The moment they got engaged — they both presented each other with rings while on a trip to New York in 2022 — was just as private.
“I was going to try to do some big elaborate proposal, but that’s not really us, and I just wanted it to be original,” Blonsky told Out. “So one night we were just hanging out watching TV in bed and the ring was burning a hole in my pocket.”
Jenson said they talked about how much they loved each other and were emotionally overwhelmed. “So I pulled out the ring and then Hailey pulled out the ring and then we all started screaming,” Blonsky recalled.
Although they announced their engagement in September 2022 on Instagram, they wanted to announce the marriage on their own terms in their own time.

“My brother got married in November and it’s so nice to see that people can refer to their spouse. And I want to be able to refer to my wife. So yeah, now was the right time,” Blonsky explained of why she finally felt ready to tell the world that she is married to Jenson.
“With Pride Month coming up, I always want to encourage people to live their truth and live their best life, and everyone deserves love,” she added.
The couple said Out that they first connected on TikTok Live when Blonsky — which came out in 2020 — randomly selected fans to chat on the app. Jenson said that after the first conversation, they went into Blonsky’s DM and ordered a Cameo from her.

The relationship has progressed naturally since then and when they met in person, it was love at first sight for Blonski.
“I remember when Hailey came to see me in California, they came to the top of my stairs and they were carrying their luggage and they turned around and I just saw their face right in front of me for the first time, and I said, ‘This is the person I will definitely marry,’ she said.
Blonsky said she never thought about marriage before she met Jenson.
“I was very satisfied with my career [and like], ‘If love will come my way, what will be will be.’ And thank God, it was meant to be,” she said.
