Harpreet Brar was born on Saturday, September 16, 1995 (25 years old in 2020) in Moga, Punjab. His star sign is Virgo. Harpreet started playing cricket during his school days and he was a part of the Punjab U-16 cricket team. Harpreet was a bowler for the Ropar state team. On April 20, 2019, he made his Twenty20 debut for Kings XI Punjab in the 2019 Indian Premier League. Harpreet Brar started playing for Punjab U-16 team while he was in school. He then did his bachelor’s degree from GGDSD College in Chandigarh while he was playing for the university team and Punjab U-19 team. Harpreet Brar tried out for Punjab domestic teams and tried out for IPL four times but was rejected every time. Harpreet’s plan B was to join the Punjab Police Force like his father or fly to Canada to join his sister for higher education. However, things changed when a local IPL franchise called him and he was bought by Kings XI Punjab for a base price of Rs 20 lakh for the 2019 IPL season. Harpreet played his first Twenty20 match with KXIP and from then on, he got the chance to be a part of the Indian U-23 team for the tour against Bangladesh.

- In an inter-district match against Hosiapur, Harpreet played for Ropar Under-19 team and he took 10 wickets in the second innings. Harpreet Brar took 5 wickets in the first innings of the same match. The other two cricketers who hold this record are Anil Kumble and Jim Laker of England.
- Harpreet Brar considers former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh as his role model in cricket. Brar grew up watching Yuvraj Singh play for the country and this inspired him to play cricket and his dream was to play for the Indian team.
