Iranian kabaddi player and his mentor Fazel Atrachali introduced him to the team “U Mumba”. In 2019, Heidar Ali Ekrami participated in the World Youth Kabaddi Championship in Kish, Kish Island, Iran. He was part of the Iranian team that won the gold medal in the championship finals. In 2023, Haidar Ali participated in the Asian Games held in Xiaoshan District, China. He represented the Iranian team and won a silver medal in the competition.
In 2022, Haidar Ali was selected and purchased by the Mumbai Kabaddi team “U Mumba” at a price of 14 lac rupees and served as a raider in the ninth season of the Professional Kabaddi League held in Bangalore. Throughout the game, Haidar’s overall raid hit rate was 50% and his tackle hit rate was 67%. He even won the Game Changer Award in his first Pro Kabaddi League.
