After graduating in 2015, Mary Lou was hired as the kitchen manager at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen and then moved to Perry’s Steakhouse as sous chef. She brought her sous chef skills to Tower of the Americas and then to Whiskey Cake Kitchen and Bar, where she continued to rise through the ranks. She now serves as the farm-to-table restaurant’s executive chef, noting on her professional Instagram that not only is she the restaurant’s youngest chef, but also the only woman.
