Henry Golding and Wife Liv Lo Welcome Their Second Baby Together

Henry Golding is a dad again!

The Crazy rich Asians star (36) and his wife Liv Lo welcomed their second baby together, daughter Florence Likan Golding, on September 9.

“The birth journey is full of ups and downs, but neither is glorious. This is our birth story,” the couple captioned a joint Instagram video posted Wednesday.

Liv shared details of the birth on her FitSphere website that she delivered her baby a day past her due date after being checked into hospital due to heavy bleeding.

Although she wanted a vaginal birth, Liv suddenly developed a fever and “the baby started to go into distress,” prompting medical staff to prepare for an emergency C-section. However, she quickly dilated to 10 centimeters before she could even enter the operating room.

“My doctor came in and said, luckily, I was able to push, but the baby would have to be born right away,” Liv wrote. “In 3 pushes Florence Likan Golding was born at 7 lbs at 9:03 am 9/9/23.”

In the video, Golding can be seen helping to clean the newborn immediately after birth and cutting the umbilical cord.

According to Liv’s website, “Baby Flo nursed like a champ during the golden hour before we were joined together for postpartum recovery,” but the newborn later experienced breathing difficulties.

As a result, “Dad Henry oversaw her PICC placement and intubation.” The video shows Golding sitting next to an incubator with his baby girl inside, where his 2-year-old daughter Lyla also reaches out to gently touch her baby sister.

After she was readmitted to the hospital and treated for a blood infection, the Goldings were finally able to take baby Florence home, as seen in the video when convincer the actor loads the newborn into the car.

In May, the actor and his wife announced via Instagram that they were expecting a second baby together. Sharing black and white photos of their family, the couple’s daughter Lyla sat on the actor’s lap while his wife sat next to them, leaning against Golding and holding her baby bump.

“Inbound ♥️👼🏻,” Golding captioned the photos.

Sharing the same photos on her own Instagram, Lo wrote: “Oh hey! New baby otw, due September 1st ❤️✨.” She also shared a video in which she reveals that in the video series she will show how she practices yoga throughout her pregnancy.

“I became a mom entrepreneur when I got pregnant. I’m certified in prenatal yoga and I practiced yoga during my last pregnancy, but this time I’m sharing my journey to show how important yoga is for the mind and body because health starts with the mother,” she explained in to the description of the video that shows how she does yoga in different stages of pregnancy.

Last May, the actor spoke with PEOPLE and revealed his favorite thing about being a father. “Seeing her grow and change,” he explained at the time about his daughter Lyla.

“Like today is actually Liv’s birthday, and on Liv’s birthday the little baby decided to actually try to walk.”

“It changes so much, so every day is a treat,” added Golding.
