Here’s Every Easter Egg Featured in Taylor Swift’s Time Artist Portrait

There’s no Easter egg master like Taylor Swift — and TIME magazine relied on the fun.

In light of the announcement of TIME’s Person of the Year 2023, London-based artist Jane Perkins was chosen to create a portrait of the singer with dozens of hidden Easter eggs.

The portrait was created using materials whose shape and color contribute to the vision: “I’m a ‘re-maker,’ taking inspiration from found objects and turning them into something new,” Perkins told TIME.

She added: “I work with materials that have a history, often things that have reached the ‘end of the queue’ that even charity shops can’t sell – broken or out-of-date jewelery and items that haven’t been sold for a long time.”

The artist has also done extensive research to ensure that each piece has meaning.

“I needed a crash course in her universe. Swifties, friendship bracelets and ‘significant things’ from song lyrics were all new to me—75 emails were exchanged before I was ready to get started,” she said.

During her cover story interview, the “Karma” singer opened up about re-recording her previous albums — the first five of her career, which were sold to Scooter Braun in 2019 against her wishes — as she compared the process to several of Hollywood’s most iconic albums. objects.

“I collect Horcruxes,” she said, comparing her reissues to magical items that wizards in the world of Harry Potter might use to fuel their own immortality.

On the subject of re-recorded albums, the “Cruel Summer” singer also teased what’s next for one of her most anticipated re-releases, Reputation (Taylor’s Version).
