Here’s Which Couple Called It Quits for Good on 90 Day: The Last Resort

For some couples, paradise is becoming more and more distant 90 day: last refugewhile others lean toward a shared future.

On Monday night’s episode, Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi celebrated their third wedding anniversary on the beach — at least for Angela — as Michael FaceTimed for the occasion. Ed “Big Ed” Brown also shared a big secret with Elizabeth “Liz” Woods, which could threaten the future of all relationships on the retreat.

Most importantly, the two couples used the therapy time to get to the heart of their relationship issues. There were even decisions about whether their love was strong enough to fight for. One couple eventually concluded that their relationship had “run its course” and went home alone.

Here’s what happened as the couples’ pullback got even more serious on Monday night.

It’s all happiness for Angela and Michael, who peacefully celebrated their three-year wedding anniversary. The couple’s rare lack of conflict came as a consolation as they spent quality one-on-one time.

For Angela — who sported some braids inspired by “the Nigerian women I see out there” — the highlight of the date was Michael’s virtual hip thrusts.

“I’m in public and you just made my cooing tingle,” she told her husband.

Molly Hopkins and Kelly Brown’s poolside brawl from last week’s episode was the subject of their latest therapy session together. Both members of the couple have expressed confusion over how their relationship has played out in real life – especially after Kelly moved to Georgia to live with Molly. What is left behind is a list of unfulfilled expectations and unmet needs.

“We’re not on the same page. What I want in a relationship isn’t there,” Kelly said in the session.

The therapist asked an important question: “Do you think this relationship has run its course?”

Molly was the first to answer “Yes”. Kelly then replied, “I think so.” The couple agreed: it’s time to end the relationship forever.

Although Molly and Kelly’s breakup brought emotions for both of them, they left without animosity. “I just want you to know that I’m sorry for everything you needed from me that I didn’t give you,” Molly said.

Kelly responded with a similar message. “I feel the same way. I’m sorry I didn’t get to the point [being] the man you wanted me to be. I did my best.”

While Kelly was leaving the resort in a black limousine, a la Bachelor, reflected on his love story that ended. “Molly and I didn’t stand a chance. I thought we could put in a little more work, but she wasn’t real,” he said.

90 daysKalani is ‘horrified’. She apologized for Asuela’s ’10-12′ affair with ‘Girl After Girl’ (Exclusive)

It’s not couples therapy for Kalani and Asuela, but family therapy with Kalani Faagate’s sister, Kolini. The sister is the only person who knows the depth of Asuelo Pulao’s cheating – which Kalani states is more than 10 or 12 times greater. “To hear myself say that, I’m disgusted with myself,” Kalani said.

Kolini had strong emotions about infidelity. “Every time I heard that Asuleu cheated on my sister, just seeing how much it hurt her was horrible,” Kolini said. “It’s hard to be in a relationship, but to have that person who is supposed to be there for you and not hurt you, to have that person who will hurt you and take advantage of your love is the worst heartbreak, and for her to experience it over and over and over again, no I wouldn’t wish that on anyone, especially my sister.”

Asulelu apologized for his past behavior and attributed it to his cultural understanding of relationships. “My parents didn’t [teach] me. I didn’t have all this experience,” he said.

Kalani expanded on his opinion by saying that in Samoa, even married family members and friends of Asuela would attack her because infidelity is normal.

“I feel like he deserves better than me,” Asuel told the therapist. “I feel embarrassed that I’m making a lot of mistakes without knowing it. It’s really bad.”

Kalani was happy to hear that Asuel understood the pain he had caused, but she feared it was “just too late” for the revelation he received about their relationship. Asuelu was ready to fight though. “I realize this lady here means the world [sic] me,” he said in front of the cameras. “I realize I love her more than anything.”

Ed and Liz dedicated their love to sharks on Monday’s episode, with a cute aquarium date away from their TLC pals. There, Ed decided to reveal the man’s big secret – a date was planned at a strip club, where Ed was allowed for the last time. Why was he kept in the dark? The others were afraid he would tell Liz.

Well, it is. And now trouble is on the horizon for the other men. This is because Liz felt caught in the middle and is now considering telling other women about the potential betrayal of their partners. For Ed and Liz, however, it’s a coming together. “You’ve earned my trust,” Liz said.

And there is no worry about Ed leaving his relationship either. Even if it’s a boys’ night out, Ed said he’s staying home. “I won’t have a problem with you,” he said. “I’m not going. I’m 57, I don’t have to look at t— and that. I like your tits.”
