Hilary Duff’s husband, Matthew Koma, enlists the help of two famous men to wish his wife a happy birthday.
In a heartfelt tribute post he shared on Instagram Thursday, the Winnetka Bowling League singer shared a few of his favorite things about How I met your father actress.
“To my birthday girl @hilaryduff… It’s crazy to think that this first photo of us was taken almost ten years ago,” he captioned the photo carousel, which includes a picture of Duff posing with Ed Sheeran. “I remember it so vividly, it’s almost like we didn’t break up three times between then and now.”

Koma continued: “You amaze me every day with your ability to juggle the impossible… you do it with such ease and grace. You have an endless source of energy and patience that makes you the super-mom + super-woman that you are, all while bringing your wildest dreams down to earth, and then somehow with… for our dogs at the end of the day.”
Adding that he was “honored” to ride “shotgun” whenever she did, the singer shared that he was looking forward to “more miracles to smile at and more baby cow videos to go ‘awww’.”
“Thank you for loving us, and we love you back a lot. Happy happy happy birthday,” he concluded before joking, “We are the happiest and our kids will be thrilled to know that Ed Sheeran is their real dad.”

In the comments, Duff expressed gratitude for her husband’s sweet feelings.
“My love. I’ve been looking forward to this all year,” she wrote. “Thank you for driving shotgun. I’m a better driver.”
Koma’s birthday tribute did not end there.
The singer posted a screenshot of the story to CNN Entertainment and hilariously changed the headline to read, “Jared Leto legally switches birthdays to ‘twins’ with Hilary Duff.”

The couple got married back in December 2019 after dating since 2017.
Duff and Koma have since welcomed daughters Banks Violet, who turns 5 in October, and Mae James, 2. The Disney Channel wildling also has a son, Luca Cruz, 11, with retired NHL ex-husband Mike Comrie, to whom she has been married since 2010 to 2016.
