PAUL Danan has revealed he almost died from a vape addiction just six months before his death.
The Love Island legend and Hollyoaks star has sadly passed away at the age of 46, it was revealed today.

The star’s cause of death has yet to be revealed – but he has previously spoken of a near-death experience due to his vape addiction.
Danan, who picked up the habit after years of smoking, collapsed in May last year and had to receive CPR before being rushed to hospital.
He then spent a week in intensive care where he contracted pneumonia.
While he was in the addictions unit at Whipps Cross Hospital in east London, doctors warned his loved ones that he “might not make it through the night”.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun on Sunday, the former Hollyoaks actor, who fell ill at his parents’ home, said: “I was dead – it’s a miracle I’m here.”
He added: “I was puffing on my vape upstairs and then all of a sudden I lost my breath and collapsed.
“My family called 911 and started giving me CPR, then the police arrived and took over before paramedics took me to hospital.
“I was on a machine in intensive care and ended up with pneumonia.
“My family was warned that I might not make it through the night. I’m so happy.”
Paul, who was on the original series of Celebrity Love Island in 2005, said doctors told him his addiction to e-cigarettes caused his collapse.

He explained: “The doctor was so, so rude to me.
She said to me, ‘Paul, you don’t know how serious this was and you’re going to be here for a while, on this oxygen’.
“She said if I ever choke again in any form, I risk being connected to an oxygen tank later in life. She said that’s it now.
“After years of smoking cigarettes and all kinds of cigarettes, vaping is what destroyed me. It pushed me over the edge.”
The news of his death was announced this morning by Independent Creative PR on Instagram.
The heartfelt message read: “It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic news of Paul Danan’s death at the age of just 46.
“Known for his television presence, exceptional talent and unwavering kindness, Paul was a beacon to many.
“His untimely passing will leave irreparable gaps in the lives of all who knew him.
“During this difficult time, we kindly ask for the respect and privacy of Paul’s family, friends and colleagues.
“There will be no further comment at this time.”
Danan is best known for playing Sol Patrick in Hollyoaks and starring in the original series Celebrity Love Island in 2005.
