The British mom found dead with her husband in their French villa, killed her husband before trying to fake the robbery and hang himself, the police now believe.
Dawn bodies, 56, and Andrew Searle, 65, were discovered earlier this month at their home in Les Pesquiès in southern France.

Various theories about the moments before death spread in the following days, pointing out a robbery-glong and a professional hit job.
But police now believe Dawn – Mom Hollyoaks star Callum Kerr – was a victim of a “marital crime, followed by suicide.”
Nicolas Rigot-Muller, Chief Prosecutor, claimed that Andrew may have killed Zora, and then hoped he could explain her death to the police by lying a breakthrough before changing his mind and took his own life.
This explanation was previously rejected by Pals, who said the relationship was harmonious.
The couple, who married just two years ago, moved to start a new life in a villa in Les Pesquiès, south of Villefranche-de-Rouerguie.
They were both seen by the locals in the days that preceded their death that behaved as their usual, smiling.
But then the neighbor discovered the sick discovering Dawn’s body lying outside the house, just after noon on Thursday, February 6th.
It was found partly demolished next to a jewelry box and was killed with a significant early head, police reported.
The autopsy later revealed that Dawn had suffered “more skull blows” – but no weapon was taken out.
She was believed to have tried to escape from her attacker before being thrown out to her death.

Andrew’s body was then found hanging inside, and “he did not show visible defense wounds,” the post Morttem said.
One early theory suggested to Andrew’s past career as a financial investigator who hunted British crimes-lords made him a goal of professional hit ordered by the gangsters.
Reports that Andrew may have been tortured before his death, he seemed to support this story.
Another theory said that a couple of emigrants were victims of burglary – but investigators now believe it was Andrew’s attempt to throw them from the scent.
There were signs of an angry search inside the object, and the drawers and cabinets were left open and furniture – the scene detectives thought that Andrew had cursed before handing over and seized his life.

One investigator said the Sunday Post: “The Searle house is extremely close to other houses, and the noise of the scream would be worn. In fact, no one has heard anything.
“What is very likely is that the victim was killed in the house, with doors and windows on the winter night and then her body thrown into the garden.”
And Rigot-Muller, Rodez Prosecutor who sent an investigation, confirmed that a “marital crime was accompanied by suicide” is the most likely scenario.
Forensic investigations have not proven any evidence of the third party that entered the house or had contact with a spouse.
No death arrests were made.
Les Pesquiès and the wider area are well covered by CCTV in the form of police, traffic and private cameras – but the detectives found no reason to start an appeal in search of anyone.
Despite the latest updates, Rigot-Muller did not completely exclude the “third party intervention” in death, and the investigation “remains open”.
The home is still cured as a crime scene and the pool is covered.
In the midst of death, friends of the married couple spoke to reject the idea that Andrew could kill Dawn.

One couple living in a nearby village said: “We British, who knew Dawn and Andy very well, are sure this is not the suicide of the murder.
“They were not in any way glittering, but they were definitely comfortable and had it well here.
“They always traveled. They recently went to a family wedding to Goa, they went to South America for a honeymoon.
“They still worked – Dawn was the project manager, and Andy was still doing some free works.
“Life was good, why would you like to kill yourself?”
Similarly, Jean-Sébastien Orcibal, Mayor of Les Pesquiès, said the couple were “extremely happy”.
At their wedding he served in 2023, when Dawne went down the actor and son of a second marriage, Callum Kerr.
Callum is best known for playing PC George Kiss in Hollyoaks -in channel 4 between 2020 and 2021.
He also starred in the hit series Netflix series Virgin River – plays Young Everett, Mel’s father, in the latest series.
Andrew was originally from western Sussex, while Dawn grew up in Eyemouth, Berwicksshire.
Andrew is understood that he worked for at least 20 years with a police and serious deception office, aiming for the organized group Crooks, pedaling financial crimes such as money laundering.
