Horror as teenager dies at popular go-kart attraction with centre urgently closed down

The teenager died last night at an attraction that was in the card, police confirmed.

Staffordshire police officers and the West Midlands Emergency Service are invited to TeamSport Go Karting Stoke in Burslem on Friday around 8.15am.

The young man was found without a reaction and later died.

A spokesman TeamSport said that the staff, including the first aid team, worked with paramedics in an effort to save his life.

Specific circumstances are not clear at the moment, but police said death was “suspected”.

Emergency service services were alerted at 8.15am and officials remained at the scene at the site of the Waterloo Road until the early hours of Saturday.

The police spokesman said: “We are invited to TeamSport Go Karting Stoke after a heart arrest report.

“The West Midlands Emergency Paramedics have already been there and found a man in his late teenagers who did not respond to the scene. Unfortunately, he was later declared dead.

“Death is not treated as suspicious and the file will be prepared for the hm -a coroner.

“Our thoughts remain with a man’s family at this difficult moment.”

It is understood that the center is open to work as usual.

A spokesman TeamSport told Sun: “With sincere regrets, we can confirm that the customer fell ill on our livestock last night, despite the best efforts of our team, the first aid team and paramedic, unfortunately passed away.

“Our deepest sympathies are with man’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.”
