In the trailer, Otto Hightower and Allison Hightower reflect on their mistakes and ponder what Westeros will look like after the war is over. Meanwhile, Queen Rhaenyra, filled with rage, prepares to ascend the Iron Throne. Rhaenys Targaryen’s opposition to the power of war cited the wrath of the gods and the wrath of the dragons, but the shot of Rhaenyra and Aemond on the back of a dragon suggests that war is still coming.
“House of the Dragon” Season 2 Trailer Revealed
After the death of Lucerys Dragon House Season 1 ended with Rhaenyra filled with vengeful rage. King Aegon has ascended the throne, Daemon is seeking the support of new dragons, and Aemond now understands that dragons cannot truly be tamed. The Season 1 finale promised fire and blood, and the Season 2 trailer proves it will deliver on its promise.
Some footage shows the army setting off for the battlefield carrying the Hightower flag, while other families rally alongside them. It’s unclear if other houses will support or oppose House Aegon and the Hightower. Knights and soldiers are not alone, with dragons often appearing in trailers and riders clutching their saddles.
