Ryan Seacrest will step down as co-host of Live With Kelly and Ryan, and will be replaced by Kelly Ripa’s husband, Mark Consuelos. The name of the show will be changed to Live with Kelly and Mark. Seacrest shared the news about the show’s final episode. He said he has enjoyed working with Kelly for many years and is delighted to see his goals come to fruition. He describes Kelly as a partner, a friend and a confidant and that he will remember the time they spent together. Ryan went on to say:
“I also want to thank Michael Gelman and the whole team – we built memories that will last a lifetime, met some amazing individuals, and were welcomed in the homes of so many spectators across America. It has been an amazing journey and I look forward to passing the torch to Kelly’s ‘real’ husband, Mark.”
After the news, Ripa reflected on her time with Seacrest and expressed her love for him. Ripa also calls Seacrest’s passion for entertainment “unique”.

Even so, executive producer Michael Gelman said Ryan, who made his co-hosting debut in 2016, will return at some point in the future. According to Forbes, Seacrest’s income from appearing on the show is about $10 million.
