There’s so much to do fog valleyAmazingly, even years after its release, it still receives free updates. fog valley A major update to version 1.5 was released recently. In the game, the player’s grandfather gives an overgrown farm and they can use it however they want.
One thing players should consider doing is making maple syrup. It has many uses in the game, and depending on what the player wants to do with their farm and the surrounding area, crafting a Maple Syrup may be necessary. Here’s how to make maple syrup in Stardew Valley.
Making Maple Syrup in Stardew Valley
First, the player needs to find a maple tree. When the game starts, the player’s farm is essentially a forest, so they can find maple trees growing in the area. The farm’s three native trees are maple, oak and pine. Referring to the image above, the tree on the left is a maple tree.
To extract maple syrup, the player needs to craft a Rapper made of 40 Wooden Rods and 2 Bronze Rods. The recipe unlocks when the player reaches level 3 in Foraging. Gathering wild resources (such as salmon or leeks) and cutting down trees gives foraging experience. Since players need space to grow crops, they’ll have to chop down some trees anyway, so it should be pretty quick to get to level 3 foraging.
After the player attaches the Logger to the Maple, it will take about 9 days to harvest the Maple Syrup. Since this is a long process, you should dig up a lot of trees. Players can even shuffle them if they want to receive one (or more) maple syrup per day.
Version 1.5 added a new object called the Heavy Tapper, which can be crafted from 30 types of hardwood and a radioactive metal rod. It works twice as fast as a regular clamp and the recipe can be purchased from Mr. Qi on Ginger Isle for 20 Air Gems.
It is important to note that diggers do not need to be placed on trees on the player’s farm. They can be placed on trees in the wild, but not in the city. This is useful for players who want to use the maximum space on their farm for other things.
Maple Syrup can be sold for 200 grams, but can also be given as a gift to many residents of Pelican Town (although Maru doesn’t like it). Some packages in the Community Center require it. Perhaps its most important use is that it is an ingredient for making beehives. Sadly, it can’t be used for the most obvious purpose of drizzling it over pancakes, which seems like a huge oversight.
