Howard Stern and Bill Maher are out.
On Tuesday in the episode The Howard Stern ShowThe 69-year-old radio host revealed that things were strained between him and the political commentator after Maher, 67, commented on his marriage.
Remarks were made on the episode of the Mahers Club by accident podcast, where he criticized Stern for outwardly expressing his love for his wife of nearly 15 years, Beth Stern, and insinuated that his comments came at the expense of his first wife, Alison Berns.
“How does this gush about the other woman—how does the first woman feel? Can we just not gush about the person while the other person can still hear it?” the Real Time with Bill Maher asked the host.
Stern and Berns married in 1978, but separated in 2000 and finalized their divorce in 2001. He and Beth, an animal rights activist, began dating shortly after meeting at a dinner party in 2000, and married together in 2008. since then.

The media personality did not take kindly to Maher’s unwarranted comments about his relationships and claimed on Tuesday’s episode The Howard Stern Show that he “should shut his mouth”.
“What a sexist thing to say! Like, what a convoluted, crazy thing to say,” Stern said, firing back. “I suppose he knows something about my first marriage. Yes, of course, a man must leave his wife, and a woman must be devastated and sit around pining for her famous man.”

He continued: “You should shut your mouth! I mean, I don’t mean every day I come on the air and say, ‘I love my wife.’ But I thought it was a pretty positive message, especially to my audience, to say to guys, ‘Instead of insulting our wives, how about we talk about appreciating and loving them?'”
Claiming that Maher seemed “very concerned about my relationship,” Stern revealed that he reached out to him via email and asked him to be honest about his opinion of his life.
“I wrote in an email, I said, ‘Why don’t you call me? Why don’t you tell me what you think about my life and my marriage since you, you know.’ But, of course, he never reciprocated,” he said American talent the alum claimed.
