A moving castle offers many opportunities for tourism. Something as simple as doing your laundry can be accompanied by something as majestic as the mountains. Inside the castle there is a door with a portal. These ports can be changed to have different positions behind them. With this feature and the advantages of mobile life, this is a dream come true.

Howl’s castle is immune to gravity. Wood, brick and metal sway and balance on four slender legs. How it works? On Calcifer’s breath and energy. Calcifer sits in the fireplace, vulnerable to elements other than fire. He is the heart of the castle.

It’s easy to imagine castles leaping through the clouds and gracefully jumping over hilltops. But, let’s be honest, who needs to imagine when this work of art exists for it to exist?

Soft and vibrant, this work of art is surprisingly simple. Each character’s distinctive features are easily recognizable, such as Sophie’s pink ribbon, gray hair and blue dress, Howl’s blonde hair and bold outfit, and eyes Calcifer’s light. Despite the deep shadows, it was magical, giving off a light, carefree feeling, creating an element of mystery.

Howl’s Heart

From: Calm down

The artist captured the moment Hal saved the scared Meteor from death beautifully. The style is deliberately different from the Miyazaki version. Howl’s Castle is the work of a magical genius. It’s a mess and a mixture of the strange and the wonderful, which, when combined, creates a delicate balance. Of course, it couldn’t be together as a unit without the heart of the family and the heart of Hal, Calcifer. The artist created a vibrant landscape fan art with the castle in the center, a turnip head extending in the shadow of the massive structure.

This artwork is a beautiful combination of colors, and is a tribute to the light and dark in Hal and Sophie. The castle is dirty and dark, where secrets are hidden. But then Sophie appeared, and her bright, vivacious spirit broke all norms. In the process, she accepted herself and changed the lives of those around her. In Hayao Miyazaki’s interpretation of the first novel in Diana Wayne Jones’ Howl’s Moving Castle series, there is a fight. War is only briefly mentioned in the book, but it is the central theme of the film.

Howl has his demons. If he continued to transform and use his magical powers to fight in war, he would be swallowed up by darkness. This piece shows Hal before and after his transformation.

Sophie and Calcifer

Sophie floated among the shooting stars in the night sky. She hugged Calcifer, his flames illuminating her dress and face. This is a truly stunning work of art. The image of Sophie saving both Hal and Calcifer by separating them parallels the moment when Hal saves Calcifer from death by making a deal with the demon and giving him his heart.

Hal was known in this land as the Heart Eater, something that Calcifer and Markle spread around them so they wouldn’t be disturbed. Of course, Hal doesn’t actually eat hearts. This phrase is taken from what the aunt of the heartbroken Hal people would say.

Howl fears he won’t be able to find love or courage, or save himself, and will be cursed forever, but then Sophie appears and saves him before darkness comes and his deal with The demon destroys him.

wasteland witch

This interpretation of The Witch of the Wild is fascinating. The color bands represent enchanting witches and blend together magically. This kind of interpretation was far from the movie role, and closer to the book description. Although the witch is less of a threat in the movie, she is Hal’s biggest threat in the novel and casts a curse on him to keep him attracted to her.
