Hrishikesh Joshi is an Indian film, television and theatre actor. He has predominantly appeared in Marathi films and television serials.

Hrishikesh Joshi was born in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. He completed his schooling from New Higher Secondary School, Kolhapur. In 1997, he completed his postgraduate studies from the National School of Drama, Delhi.

Profession
He started his career as a theatre artist and has acted in more than 50 Hindi, Marathi and Sanskrit plays. He has acted in more than 400 performances of the commercial play Mukkampost Bombilwadi. He has acted in more than 150 performances of the commercial play Sangeet Lagnakallol and has also acted in more than 150 performances of the Marathi play Love Story.
He made his debut in the Hindi film ‘Sutradhar’ in 1987. He has acted in several National Award-winning films including ‘Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’ (2010), ‘Harishchandrachi Factory’ (2010), ‘Deool’ (2011), ‘Vishnupant Damle: The Unsung Hero of Talkies’ (2012), ‘Aajcha Divas Majha’ (2014) and ‘Yellow’ (2014).
He has also acted in several Marathi television serials such as Ghadlay Bighadlay (1999), Shi. Gangadhar Tipare (2001) and Spandan (2017). He is also a columnist for the renowned Marathi newspaper Loksatta.
He made his directorial debut with the Marathi film Sweet Home in 2018. He has also acted in several Hindi web series including Breathe (2018), The Hundred (2020), and Breathe: Into the Shadows (2020).
