Huge boyband star with TV host wife is latest name set to sign for I’m A Celebrity

JLS star turned TV presenter Marvin Humes will join the line-up on I’m A Celebrity.

Show bosses believe his X Factor boyband career, combined with his new life as a prime-time presenter, gives him wide appeal.

Marvin, 38, and wife Rochelle Humes, 34, are best known for reporting on the daytime show, but have also presented the BBC’s hit show The Hit List since 2019.

A Jungle source said: “Marvin would be a brilliant signing.

“Not only is it familiar to X Factor fans and JLS fans, but the audience for The Hit List and This Morning spans from children to older viewers.

“And with Rochelle’s support, he has a ready-made fan base.

“He’ll have plenty of showbiz stories to tell from his 15 years in the spotlight.”

The source added: “The fact he’s remained a bit of a pin-up doesn’t hurt either, and bosses are hoping he’ll make use of the jungle shower!”

Marvin and bandmates Aston Merrygold, Oritse Williams and JB Gill were runners-up on Simon Cowell’s 2008 talent show.

Four years later he married Rochelle, who was in the girl band The Saturdays.

They made their debut on This Morning in 2013.

Marvin left the show in 2021, and in between he was on The Voice, Children In Need and as a Capital FM DJ.

The father-of-three’s I’m A Celebrity debates will fuel rumors that he and Rochelle will become “the new Holly and Phil”.

A source said: “ITV has sometimes used the jungle to test talent on its audience or to boost a star’s profile ahead of future plans on the channel.

“Marvin is currently a 25-1 outsider for Phil’s job on This Morning, but his I’m A Celeb chats will have the chatter going.”

Others rumored to be heading to Ant and Dec’s Aussie camp include Frankie Dettori and Nigel Farage.

A spokesperson for I’m A Celebrity said all names are speculation at this stage.

Series 23 is set to begin later this month.
