Speaking to Gyles Brandreth on his Rosebud podcast, released on Friday, she says: “This is actually – I’m announcing it for the first time now – this is my farewell tour, with family and friends.

“Because I was on a tour last year that was tough – it was successful, it went well – but you need an army to be successful in your career these days.”

During his incredible career, the Scottish star has had ten Top Ten singles including Relight My Fire with Take That.

She sang the theme song for the 1974 James Bond film The Man with the Golden Gun and won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1969 with her song Boom Bang-a-Bang.

Speaking about her upcoming tour, she said: “I’m not going to tell you exactly what I’m going to do, but of course I’m going to have to do Boom Bang-a-Bang.

“The audience wants to do it themselves anyway.
