CORONATION street star Bill Fellows has quit the soap after three years.

The actor – who plays Stu Carpenter in the ITV soap – will step down from the main storyline later this year, The Sun can exclusively reveal.

A source said: “Three years is a long time to play one role and although Bill loved his time in Corrie, he is ready to move on.

“Earlier this year he told bosses he would like to leave at the end of his three-year deal and they have devised an exciting exit story for him.

“He’s going to be on screen for a while, but it’s given him the opportunity to agree to a number of jobs he’s been wanting to do later this year.”

Bill joined Coronation Street in 2021 after playing George in the international hit Ted Lasso – a role he continued to play until the end of the AppleTV series.
