Huge Coronation Street star signs up to appear in this year’s Celebrity Big Brother

The first famous Big Brother was aired in March 2001 on Channel 4.

Roll to 23 years and move to Channel 5 in 2011, CBB is now in its 23rd season, and ITV hosted it for the first time.

Here’s who has won the wished title so far:

Season 1 (2001): comedian Jack Dee beat actress Claire Sweeney despite leaving the house and avoiding safety for about an hour. The series was also more memorable for Vanessa Feltz that Big Brother said he was “leaving” after she started “closed”, “ambush” and “limited” on the table.

Season 2 (2002): Take that favorite Mark Owen triumph over TV host Les Dennis. The latter won the audience’s sympathy after a marital breakdown with his wife Amanda Holden.

Season 8 (2011): In the first series aired on Channel 5, Big Fatsy Wedding Star -a Paddy Doherty was an unexpected winner, beating singer Kerry Katon.

Season 9 (2012): The star of Loose Women Denise Welch triumphed over the contestant X Factor Frankie Cocozza after she removed while she was drunk and jumped into a hot tub.

Season 10 (2012): Commander Julian Clary received nod with Coleen Nolan voting.

Season 11 (2013): Rylan Clark X Factor beat the pair of Heidi Montag & Spencer Pratt, which competed as “one entity” and known as Speidida.

Season 12 (2013): star Geordie Shore Charlotte Crosby beat 5Iive singer Abz Love

Season 13 (2014): Jim Davidson won after a glittering order with Linda Nolan. N-dubz Dappy took second place.

Season 14 (2014): Gary Busey – who decided to wander around CBB House Gole – Beatboxer Audley Harrison.

Season 15 (2015): Katie Price won the Battle of Katies while in the finals she saw the controversial Katie Hopkins. The biggest point of conversation was American blogger Perez Hilton’s Raging Row S Calum Best, but the series also saw two early incentives by Jeremy Jackson and Ken Morley.

Season 16 (2015): The star of trainee James Hill beat the Austin Armacost model. Tila Tequila was only evicted the second day after it was discovered that she had posted on social media support to Adolf Hitler.

Season 17 (2016): Scotty T Geordie Shore won after sharing a kiss with his colleague housewife Tiffany Pollard. Stephanie Davis was the winner.

Season 18 (2016): Stephen Bear won the show despite the huge row with Radio Star James Whale. Ricky Norwood placed second, but this season Christopher Biggins dropped out of the house after making an anti -Semitic joke.

Season 19 (2017): Coleen Nolan entered the CBB house for the second time – and this time the winner beat Jedward. During her second stay, she had a huge showdown with a horse star John McCririck.

Season 20 (2017): It was the battle of the reality show in the finals, with Popstars: the winner of the rival and the star of girls Aloud Sarah Harding beat Amelia Lily of X Factor.

Season 21 (2018): Courtney ACT, otherwise known as Shane Jenek, won with politician Ann Widdecombe as a winner.

Season 22 (2018): Winning of Dance on ice 2024, was not the first reality show Ryan Thomas. He won the CBB title in 2018, after a shocking “running” with Emmerdale actress Roxanne Pallet, who falsely accused him of hitting her. Actress Kirstie Alley came to second place.
