The host of Saturday’s kitchen Matt Tebbutt is set to replace Gregg Wallace as a judge and host of Masterchef.
The chef and restorer are in advanced conversations with the producers of the BBC One Show, and may be driving to host Spin-off Series Masterchef: The Professionals.

Beeb on Saturday morning, Star Tebbutt, 51, should step into the role along with the remaining Judge Jon Torode.
Comes after Wallace announced in November that he deviated from work after multiple charges of inappropriate behavior against him.
The TV insider said: “Matt rose to the challenge of arriving on Saturday’s kitchen after being previously hosted by another big name in the food world, James Martin.
“He opened the feat to make him his own and almost to forget the viewers who his predecessor is – now bee bosses, and the producers of the Banijay show will hope he can do the same magic on Masterchef.
“Nothing, of course, is staid in stone, and the result of research by Gregg’s behavior is yet to be fully concluded.
“But since Masterchef is such a huge show with a huge monitoring, Beeb wants to be ready.”
Food criticism and Grace Dent writer stopped at Wallace as a judge at Masterchef Celebrity remains to be seen whether she will continue in that role.
The father of the two Matt spent most of his life in southern Wales, where he had a restaurant, before handing it over to continue his TV career.
He trained at the Leiths School of Food and Wine, set up from his grandmother off Suchin Prue Leith and worked in a series of best restaurants.
He was first seen on TV, in channels 4, unwitting in 2012, and later took over the role of hosts Saturday’s kitchen after filling Martin.
