Before filming began on the new series, her replacement was revealed to fans.
Love Island host Maya Jama will take over and join Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan on the panel.
Maya said: “I’m such a fan of The Masked Singer, so joining the panel alongside Davina, Jonathan and Mo—and of course working with Joel—is going to be so much fun!
“I can’t wait to find out who’s hiding under all those amazing costumes, cover their performances and get front row seats to the reveal.

“I’ve been watching the show for a long time, so I’m definitely bringing my A-game to the panel!”
The next series of The Masked Singer is due to arrive on ITV1 early next year.
Bosses have also confirmed that Joel Dommett will return as host.
The Sun previously revealed how Rita had decided to step down from the much-loved ITV series.
We first told how the executives appointed Maya to replace her because Rita had conflicting filming commitments.
Speaking about the return, Katie Rawcliffe, Head of Entertainment and Daily Commissioning, ITV said: “The Masked Singer is back and promises to start 2025 with a bang.
“TV’s favorite guessing game welcomes the sensational Maya Jama to join our expert detectives, Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan alongside Joel Dommett. We can’t wait.”

The masked singer first appeared on the screens in 2020 and has gathered millions of fans.
It turns out that the popular bosses have released a spin-off version – called The Masked Dancer.
However, earlier this year we revealed that ITV had decided to end the format after two series.
